Creating a Site

A three-minute walkthrough — from the first screen of the wizard to a finished, live site.

A new site is created by a wizard of four screens. Only the name and the address are required — everything else improves the result, but you can skip it and change it later in the editor.

Step 1 — Name and Address

  • Name — the brand or the title of the site. Everything else is built around it.
  • Subdomain — the address the site opens at: name.draft2blog.com. It is suggested from the name (non-Latin names are transliterated) and you can change it. If it is already taken you are told immediately.
  • Short description and keywords — what the site is about and who it is for. The AI reads these when it writes the content.

Step 2 — Category

Cafe, store, agency, portfolio, courses, blog. The category decides which sections a page gets by default — a restaurant needs a menu and a map, a service needs pricing and features. It can be skipped.

Step 3 — Brand

There are two ways to arrive at a look, and they combine on the same screen.

  • You already have a brand. Drop in a brandbook or a logo (PDF or image), or paste a link to your existing site. We open it and take the colours, the fonts and the logo — and a few sentences about the business if the material contains them. A short report shows exactly what was taken, and says plainly what could not be read.
  • Generate a brand kit. The AI builds a whole identity from your brief: logo, palette, typography, icons, a pattern and usage mockups. Regenerate as many times as you like.

What we read from your material is a guide, not a blueprint. Your new site will feel like your brand — it will not be a copy of the page you linked to.

Step 4 — Template

  • Pick a template — a ready-made set of pages. It is copied as it is, instantly, without AI, and you edit it afterwards.
  • From scratch — no template. The site is generated for your brand, your colours and your description.

Either way the site opens in the editor, where everything can still be changed.

What Happens Next

The address is provisioned in seconds, and the site goes to review before it becomes public. You do not have to wait doing nothing — pages, texts and articles can all be prepared while the review runs.
